About
I’m Bob Rainville, the dude making the images, prints and everything else you will find here. I’ve been doing this photography thing off and on since the mid 90’s with my “more serious” efforts happening around 2012.
For me, photography is not about facsimile; it is about rendering a moment, a feeling, and perhaps a story. I believe that the power of photography lies in its ability to evoke emotions, provoke thought, and inspire meaningful conversations. It may create tension within or serenity throughout. It is through this lens that I approach my work.
Rather than conforming to trends or catering to popular demand, I remain committed to staying true to my own creative voice. I believe that art should be a reflection of one's innermost self, a visual representation of their unique perspective and experiences. By embracing my own artistic vision and rejecting the pressure to conform, I am able to create work that is honest, sincere, and deeply personal.
The experience plays a crucial role in shaping my artistic vision. I believe that creative photography is born out of introspection and honest interactions with the world around us. Whether it's exploring new or familiar landscapes, immersing myself in different regions, or simply observing the intricacies of everyday life, I seek to understand and capture the essence of each experience. It is through these interactions that my artistic vision is continually shaped and refined.
